The River in the Starve Rock area is being used as recreation and transportation.

Location

The images where taken from Buffalo Rock State Park (north east of Starve Rock), Starve Rock State park, and on the patle boat. The area is between the two towns of Utica and Ottawa.

Size

River runs through several states.

When the pictures were taken

The pictures were taken during the dry season in 2005 when water levels were down. The actual depth of the river in certain areas during this time was three to five feet.
