Defining Inexpensive Steaks

In this section, we are providing several types of inexpensive meats you can choose from when preparing your meal choice.

Boneless Shell Sirloin -This steak is also called by several other names which includes: Top Butt, Butt Steak, Top Sirloin Butt, Top Sirloin Steak, and center cut roast. When purchasing this type of steak, you should look for a one pound piece with an even 11/4 thickness.

 

Flap Meat Steak - This steak is also called Top sirloin tips, beef sirloin tips, sirloin tip steak, and sirloin flap meat for tips. You should purchase a one pound piece of meat with even thickness.

Flank Steak - The alternative names this steak goes by are jiffy steak and London broil. This steak should only be used for grilling.

 

Skirt Steak -This steak goes by the name of Philadelphia and Fajitas meat. This steak should only be used for grilling.

Hanger Steak -This steak is only available at a butcher shop only and goes by the names of Hanging tenderloin or butcher's Steak.

 

Flap Iron steak - You can purchase this steak in a butcher shop only under the name of Blade steak.
